Hi and thanks for reading more about me!

My name is Dara Epstein. I split my time between Santa Monica and San Sebastián, Spain, and also spend a good deal of time in the New York area, where I grew up.

My Story

I grew up in the arts, took on a passion for opera, and after undergrad I moved to Rome Italy to study 19th century Bel canto opera technique with the great Benito Nistico.

Upon returning to New York City, I found childcare as a new passion, and began what started as a side career as an upper east side nanny.

Those kiddos inspired me tremendously and I eventually began working with Smart Sitting, a corporate and private childcare staffing company, and I have now been a part of it for the last 15 years and counting.

In 2023, we won “Nanny Agency of the Year” and every day continues to be a new adventure, and a new way of supporting and connecting families and caregivers.

I love to travel, and I spend summers in San Sebastián, Spain, and otherwise I can usually be found between New York and LA.
